There is an unclaimed Lotto Millionaire Raffle ticket worth £50,000 in Birmingham, could you be the owner? Check your ticket to make sure!
Time is running out for the ticket holder to come forward and claim their prize, because the win expires this Thursday, 23 February.
The National Lottery is urging anyone who plays the lottery to look inside their wallets, pockets, cars etc. to search for the winning ticket.
The ticket was bought in Birmingham and the code reads GOLD 7789 3704. The win is part of the Team GB-inspired Lotto Medal Lotto draw held last August.
If no one comes forward to collect the jackpot before the deadline then the prize money – and the interest it has generated – will go to help National Lottery-funded projects.
Senior winners’ advisor at the National Lottery, Andy Carter said: “We’re eager to find Birmingham’s mystery ticket-holder and unite them with their winnings – this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life.
“Team GB’s success in Rio, when their haul was a whopping 67 medals, was outstanding and worthy of celebration with an extra special Lotto draw, now we just need to find the area’s winner to help them celebrate their own win!”
Members of the Midland Sailing Club took to the water on Edgbaston Reservoir to help search for the winner. The club received National Lottery funding in 2013 to extend their changing rooms. Member Mike Homer, said: “The Midland Sailing Club’s National Lottery funding has made a massive difference to the club.
“We are delighted to support the hunt and hope we find that lucky ticket-holder.
“As a club, we already feel like lottery winners due to the National Lottery funding we have enjoyed, now let’s find that other lottery winner in Birmingham!”
