Irish Lotto And Euromillions Get A Brace, Resulting In Consecutive Wins

It seems that Cork has a lucky streak after yet another local is understood to be the second winner of the Euromillions jackpot in a matter of a few days. Last Friday saw a single ticket holder as the winner of the coveted €88 Million prize. Now, the Irish Lotto has just announced that another prize, worth €500,000, belongs to a single ticket holder from the same town.

According to Irish Lotto officials, a punter who has won €1 Million over the new year, is yet to come forward and claim the prize. A spokesperson for the National Lottery has confirmed that the winner of Saturday's Lotto Plus 1 draw, which was sold in Gurranabraher, has contacted the headquarters. The winner has 90 days to collect the prize.

In the meantime, rumours have been circulating that the €500,000 winning ticket was purchased by four members of a syndicate. The ticket was sold in Baker's road store where shop owner, Adrian Singleton, had this to say.

“The whole place has been buzzing with rumours,” he said. “We believe it’s someone local alright and we’re delighted for them. We were all talking last week about what you could do if you won the €88m in the Euromillions. But this is a lovely amount to win. it’s very manageable. It will set them up nicely.”

In other news, Tuesday night's Euromillions draw resulted in a consecutive win for the Euro Lotto giant. The jackpot prize was for €25,000,000. Those lucky numbers were 04 - 17 - 44 - 23 - 03 and the Lucky Stars were 06 and 09.
